Pod Storage Approaching Capacity Requires Vertical Scaling

Pod-based indexes at 90%+ storage capacity will begin failing upsert operations while continuing to serve queries. This condition requires vertical scaling (increasing pod size) which takes ~10 minutes but has no downtime.
