Cloudflare dashboard unavailability prevents DNS and proxy configuration changes

When Cloudflare dashboard is unavailable, operators cannot modify DNS settings or proxy configurations. This prevents mitigation actions during Cloudflare incidents when Cloudflare serves as registrar, DNS management tool, proxy, gateway, and WAF.

Migrate critical DNS management capabilities to a separate provider independent of the proxy/WAF layer. Maintain DNS zone files and routing configurations in version control with automation for emergency failover. Pre-configure and test alternative routing paths to AWS ALBs. Consider multi-provider DNS setup for critical domains.
