Lambda Timeout Increase Paradox

Increasing Lambda timeout from 1 minute to 15 minutes can paradoxically slow execution and increase Kafka offset lag. Longer timeouts allow functions to process more data per batch but reduce overall throughput, causing processing backlogs.
